Every piece of furniture we make is entirely bespoke, from the materials and finishes to the dimensions and designs. Whether you have a clear picture in your mind or a rough idea sketched on the back of an envelope, we can support you in creating the perfect piece of furniture for your home and fitting it if required.
Garden
From garden/driveway gates to trellis and planters, we can make a range of items to compliment your property and/or existing garden pieces. Need something in a specific size? Every piece is made to your exact requirements.
Individual Items
From chopping boards to cake stands, we can make a wide variety of items for your home. These can be personalised to make beautiful gifts for Christmas, anniversaries or retirement. If you have an idea in mind for anything made of wood, get in touch for a free design discussion.
Individual Items
As well as furniture, we also make individual wooden items for sale at craft fairs or directly (just drop us an email). Our range is currently available in oak or walnut but other woods are available on request.
Our platter boards come in 600mm and 400mm sizes as standard but bespoke sizes can also be made. These can be personalised with a simple image or text of your choice and we can design one specifically for you if you would like a different style or the inclusion of a juice groove. We also make a saucepan strainer to compliment the platter boards with a similar handle design to give a sleek look when displayed in your kitchen.
For a smaller gift idea, we have toaster tongs (with a magnet on the back so you don't lose them!) and coffee scoops that also double as clips for your coffee bag.
We also have some festive items - our Christmas tree advent calendar and 'Nutcracker' bottle openers are bound to bring compliments from your guests over the holiday season.
A Brief History of Burrows & Burrows
With nearly 20 years in woodworking under his (tool)belt, Chris has a wealth of experience creating a range of bespoke pieces.
From humble beginnings making gates and fencing, Chris took on an apprenticeship as a cabinet maker and completed a City and Guilds Level 2 qualification in Furniture Production. Since then, he has made a vast range of different products, from bedroom and office furniture to room dividers and libraries, as well as point of sale display units for both Selfridges and Harrods.
Since starting a family in 2020, Chris has been working for himself from his garden workshop, crafting and installing fitted and freestanding bespoke items such as bookcases, shoe cupboards and TV units. Proficient in hand-finishing with lacquers, stains, varnishes and oils, Chris's experience and expertise will enable him to help you choose the best materials and finishes for your furniture, ensuring each item is uniquely designed and crafted for a fully bespoke experience.
As business picked up, it became clear that some admin assistance would be helpful which is where his wife, Karen, stepped in and so 'Burrows & Burrows' was born.
